I thought this little fellow would cheer us up on a dull and rainy Sunday. There are no complaints from me about the weather when I think of how other people in parts of the world are suffering. I think we get caught up in the every day dilemmas we have and forget how trivial they must seem to those who have lost everything. The world at large has responded to the tragic losses experienced by the people of Haiti. There were people there visiting from other countries who also lost their lives. Haiti is a troubled area and did not deserve what happened. Unfortunately, there are people, who should know better, that have implied that Haitians got their due. How wrongly judgemental of them.
Judge not, lest ye be judged and found wanting by your Lord. Prayers for all people who are suffering, that their suffering will be relieved.

We are covered in snow and cold artic air but it is nothing compared to what the people of Haiti and everyone who is there helping them are going through. My heart is ever so heavy for all of them.......:-) Hugs

It is very sad to think that the first thing some people tend to do in a time of tragedy is to place blame on the victims. And worse, to say it was a punishment from God.
But I try not to focus my thoughts on that, it just serves to promote negativity. Brush it off and look for the good that others do in these situations and concentrate on what I can do, and say a prayer for the naysayers.
Our weather here today is very windy and rainy, I even kept my grandson home from school today. Limbs are coming down from trees, and our little cabana blew over (and apart) on our back deck. But as you said, what is that compared to what others are suffering? But it does serve to bring to mind the magnitude of their loss and suffering.

The bird that you posted is lovely...and I thank you for posting it. The tragedy in Haiti is unfathomable...and I pray for each and every family...what a disaster. We have no idea (at least, I don't. ) I cannot begin to imagine....
We even had a special Mass at our church just for the people of Haiti but we are also have fund raisers to help them during this tragedy.
Just really shows how important it really is to count our blessings.
Have you noticed how hit and miss I have become at getting posts done? Can I blame it on your influence, Mar?? No, I wouldn't do that except for joking.
